According to the restrictions of the Peruvian government RM-112 (8.6.11, 8.7.1, 8.7.2), 113 (8.3) and RM-448, Tierras de los Andes hereby informs you about the implemented restrictions and standards in order to ensure the safety of our customers and comply with the protocol of health security of Covid-19. The use of a mask is mandatory in the whole country of Peru, including public areas. It has to be worn all the time while being outside.
Depending on the activities you have booked (for example cooking classes) there may be other protective equipment such as gloves, face shield, and more, required. Your travel agent will give you more details in case you need additional equipment for a certain activity.
Your body temperature can be measured at any time during your stay. Especially when entering a hotel or touristic site, your temperature will be measured. Your guide will be also allowed to check your body temperature at the beginning and end of a tour and at any time in case you have any symptoms. Your temperature will be automatically reported if it exceeds 38° C.
Please keep in mind that the entrance to a specific site or place may be rejected in case your body temperature is higher than 38° C.
During your stay, you must disinfect your shoes (including soles) before entering a certain place, for example at the entrance of hotels, restaurants, sites, museums, shops, before entering a vehicle, and whenever it is necessary. You may also be asked to disinfect your personal belongings and suitcases.
You will be asked to wash your hands every day and with soap and water or to use a hand sanitizer before, during and after a certain activity.
It is important to respect the social security distance of at least one meter from other people. Besides, it is necessary to respect defined spaces and avoid crowded areas. it is recommended to avoid greetings with your guide or any other person in a physical way. Please do not shake hands.
It is strongly recommended not to share your personal belongings with others. Additionally, you should not share your water bottle, food, cutlery, glass, or any other objects during a meal.
Please avoid paying in cash and choose other payment methods such as credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc.). In case you have to pay in cash, we recommend you to wash your hands very well or sanitize your hands after the payment. Because of this new payment situation, it may be helpful to contact your bank in order to verify your daily or monthly limit of your credit card.
In the registration form, we will ask you to fill in any pre-existing physical and medical conditions. Please let us know in case you have any medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, lung diseases, chronic kidney failure, and so on. After arriving in Peru, you will be asked to fill out and sign the symptomatic form of Covid-19. This document is a confirmation that you have not been in direct contact with a positive Covid-19 case and that you are not having any symptoms.

In case you have any symptoms of Covid-19 (cough, fever, problems of breathing, sore throat, etc.) within 15 days after returning to your country, you are obligated to inform Tierras de los Andes. We will do a follow up with every person who may have been in contact with you.
Before, during and after your stay, you will receive important information about your stay in Peru through digital communication (by mail, Whatsapp, Skype, etc.) to avoid any physical contact and reduce the use of paper as part of our policies.
It is important to always respect the safety instructions mentioned above, as well as to listen carefully to the instructions of your guide. There may be special restrictions for different sites, national parks, or other public places.
Tierras de los Andes reserves the right to deny services to anyone who does not comply with the preventive health measures and restrictions.
