Since the beginning of times, men has always raised his eyes to the sky, looking for answers about his connection to the universe and the origin of his provenance. He has always wanted to reflect what he saw on the sky on earth and understand nature, to try to systematize time and even seek its spiritual and religious significance. In that great search, in the Andes, men have found many answers in the universe, for example, considering it as a cosmic force (Pachakama) and when interacting with the telluric force (Pachamama), they generate all forms of life and interact with every process of nature and life. This concept confirms the energetic interrelation between earth and cosmos, being the Pachamama the essence that provides, nourishes and sustains men kind, while the Pachakama represents the invisible, the cosmic energy that protects and guides us through our stay on earth. During the morning, a transportation will take us to the airport to take a national flight to Trujillo. Upon arrival, our staff will be there to greet, meet and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day to explore the city, overnight in Trujillo.
After a good night sleep, we will head towards the Huaca del Sol and Huaca de la Luna. We will do a mystical visit of the Huacas and meditation on the sites. Legend says that La Huaca del Sol was built by 250,000 men in 3 days and that it took more than 140 million adobes (sand bricks) to finish it. On the other hand, they say that La Huaca de la Luna was a place where human sacrifices were made, there are up to 40 warriors found inside! We will continue visiting La Huaca del Dragon and then visit the city, highlighting its colonial richness with its baroque style houses, as well as republican art with its neoclassical mansions. We will stop for lunch and then see the spectacular show of El Caballo de Paso Peruano (a special breed of horse very native of Peru) and La Marinera (a traditional dance of the north of Peru). At night, we will perform a Fire and Purification ceremony with an offering to the Cochamama (Mother Lake). Overnight in Trujillo.
On our fourth day, we will go to one of the most amazing sites of Trujillo named “Chan Chan”, whose name means “Sun-Sun”, they are recognized as the most extensive pre-Columbian adobe (sand bricks) citadel in the world, and used them to build Plazas, ceremonial centers , gathering places , water aqueducts and more. We will perform a mystical visit and directed meditation on the main plaza. After the experience, we will leave Trujillo and head towards the city of Chiclayo, stopping on the way to visit La Huaca de La Señora de Cao and a beautiful village named Magdalena de Cao. Along the way, we will enjoy wonderful landscapes such as sugar fields and the Pacific Ocean. We will tour and explore this passionate place, see its museum and talk about the other sites nearby like Huaca Rajada. After the visits, we will continue our way to the city of Chiclayo over the northern Panamericana road, stopping to stretch our legs at Paramonga, beautiful coastal village with an impressive archeological site where in legends, one of the Peruvian gods showed up: the wing one, Wiracocha. Arrival to Chiclayo and overnight in the city.
After breakfast, we will depart towards the Lambayeque village and continue to the great site of Tucume. We will walk and explore the local restoration and museum, doing a mystical visit with a reinstatement work on one of the temples. There is an optional sidewalk to the Golgota Mountain to overlook the site. At our return to Lambayeque, we will stop for lunch, to try traditional food from the north of Peru. After lunch, we will go to visit the extraordinary modern museum of El Señor de Sipan , which houses real art jewels in gold, silver and copper discovered in several Mochicas tombs. All the remains and treasures were found in the archaeological zone of Huaca Rajada. The tomb of El Señor de Sipan is one of the most important in the world, compared to Tutankhamun in Egypt. Return to the hotel for overnight.
In the morning, we will head out of the city to visit the Pomac forest, a protected area where you can see local flora and fauna, walk to the ancient tree and then continue to see the great Pyramids of El Rey, which are under restoration. On our way back, we will visit the shaman market, interesting place to know some of the traditions and uses of the people from the north. In the afternoon, we will the option to experience a very spiritual ceremony called Wachuma ceremory or San Pedro Ceremony.
The Wachuma ceremony or San Pedro ceremony is a ritual that is carried out by a shaman (Andean priest). Previously, the shaman prepares the brew that contains the San Pedro plant, very well known in the Andes for the natural hallucinogens that contains. The main objective of this ceremony is to seek the mental, emotional and physical balance of the participant. Clear the fears and traumas that the person experiences during their lives, the same that lead to psychological and physical alterations. Then, the person enters a state of meditation and connection, a process during which he/she is forced to face his/her deepest fears and traumas with the intention of finding a resolution for them.
