Lima, known as the "City of Kings," delights with its colonial and modern architecture, plazas, parks, museums, and exquisite gastronomy.
Upon arrival in Lima, a friendly host will welcome you at the international airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Lima (150 m)
On this day, after breakfast, we will explore both colonial and modern Lima. We will start with the Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, the Government Palace, and the Torre Tagle Palace.
We will then continue to the modern part of the city, visiting the neighborhoods of Miraflores and San Isidro, two of Lima's most exclusive and beautiful areas. The afternoon is free.
Lima (150 m)
In the morning, we will depart by bus to Paracas. Upon arrival, we will head to the Paracas Bay, where we will board our boat for the excursion. We will then take a boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, where we will observe sea lions, pelicans, penguins, and other seabirds.
Along the way, we will appreciate the figure known as "The Candelabro," a geoglyph etched into the hillside and over 2500 years old.
At the end of the trip, we will continue to Ica and head to the Huacachina lagoon, an oasis in the desert. Here, we will ride buggies and, from the top, use sandboards to practice sandboarding on the dunes. Then we will take a bus to Nasca.
Lima (150 m) - Paracas (50 m) - Ica (330 m)
After breakfast, we will head to Chivay, home to one of the deepest canyons in the world.
We will start by taking the Yura route, skirting around the snow-capped Chachani toward the Pampa Cañahuas (Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve), the habitat of local wildlife.
We will stop at the Volcanoes Viewpoint, the highest point on the route (4950 m), where you can see much of the western mountain range, including the Ampato Volcano (6400 m) and Hualca Hualca (6025 m).
Finally, we will arrive in Chivay and be transferred to your hotel. Later, optionally, you can enjoy the "La Calera" hot springs (37 °C) (optional, with additional cost).
Arequipa (2330 m) - Volcanoes Viewpoint (4950 m) - Chivay (3600 m)
This day will be magnificent, as early in the morning we will head to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where you can usually see the condors, the largest birds in the world, flying. We will also have an impressive view of the canyon, which is spectacular in the morning hours.
On the way back, we will pass through villages such as Yanque, Coporaque, and Achomas, which still preserve their Inca-era traditions.
Then, we will visit the town of Maca, its beautiful church and cobblestone streets, and return to Chivay for lunch. After lunch, we will continue our journey to Puno and your hotel.
Chivay (3600 m) - Cruz del Cóndor (3800 m) - Chivay - Puno (3850 m)
This morning, we will head to Cusco, crossing the Collao highlands. We will stop in Pucará to admire the famous "Toritos de Pucará," symbols of strength with various designs and colors.
We will pass through the La Raya pass, observing the highland fauna, and continue to the Raqchi archaeological site, an ancient religious settlement with temples and houses. In Andahuaylillas, we will visit the Church of San Pedro, the "Sistine Chapel of America," famous for its art.
Finally, we will arrive in Cusco and head to the hotel.
Puno (3850 m) - Abra de La Raya (4350 m) - Cusco (3330 m)
In the morning, we will have free time. In the afternoon, we will enjoy the beauty of the imperial city, starting with the Cusco Cathedral and its magnificent interior decoration. Next, we will head to Qoricancha, the ancient Inca Temple of the Sun, now one of the emblematic places of Inti Raymi.
We will then explore the fascinating archaeological sites of Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, Q'enqo, and Sacsayhuamán, impressive for their monumental stone structures perfectly assembled. We will conclude our day by returning to Cusco after enjoying a day full of history and grandeur.
Cusco (3330 m) - Sacsayhuamán (3700 m) - Cusco
We will depart early at 4:30 am with our guide from the hotel. First, we will stop in Cusipata for a buffet breakfast. On the way, we will see llamas, alpacas, and shepherds in traditional attire.
As we approach the summit, we will admire the Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain (5036 m) mountain range. Upon arrival, the guide will provide information about the mountain, its orography, and its ecosystem. It will be an enriching experience, connecting with nature and Andean culture, before returning to the hotel.
*If you choose the Red Valley option, travelers will need to hike faster, following the guide's recommendations. We will then return to the vehicle and head to the restaurant for lunch. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco.
Cusco (3330 m) - Rainbow Mountain (5036 m) - Cusco
Today, we will begin our exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting with Pisac, with its impressive terrace architecture, plazas, and bridges. We will then head to the town to visit the traditional market and discover its culture.
Next, we will travel to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a typical lunch.
Later, we will explore the Ollantaytambo fortress, with its monumental Inca structures and panoramic views. Finally, we will head to the station to take the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town), where we will be transferred to our hotel.
Cusco (3330 m) - Pisac (2950 m) - Ollantaytambo (2800 m) - Aguas Calientes (2000 m)
After breakfast, we will head to the bus station to go to Machu Picchu, built on one of the flanks of the ancient mountain amidst lush vegetation.
During our 2-hour guided tour, we will explore the most representative sites of the Inca citadel. Then, we will have free time to continue exploring and optionally visit Huayna Picchu, which offers stunning views. We will return to Aguas Calientes and take the train to Poroy, followed by a transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
Aguas Calientes (2000 m) - Machu Picchu (2400 m)
On this day, you will be transferred to the airport, where you will take your flight to Lima and later your international flight.
