To fully enjoy your visit to Machu Picchu, we recommend arriving in Cusco at least 24 to 48 hours before your tour, especially if you are traveling from a city at sea level. This adjustment period helps your body adapt to the altitude and reduces the risk of altitude sickness.
During your first days in Cusco, it is best to take it easy and avoid intense physical activity. Light tours are an excellent way to acclimate while exploring the region. Popular options include the Cusco City Tour, where you can visit places such as Sacsayhuamán and Qorikancha, or the Sacred Valley Tour, which offers a more gradual altitude adjustment in some areas compared to Cusco city.
If you experience symptoms such as headaches, nausea, dizziness, or fatigue, we recommend resting, staying hydrated, and seeking medical advice if necessary.
Yes. Most hotels in Cusco offer luggage storage services while you are visiting Machu Picchu. If your hotel provides a luggage claim ticket or storage receipt, be sure to request it for added security.
Hotel pickup is available from accommodations located in Cusco’s historic center and designated coverage areas. If your hotel is outside the pickup zone, our team will coordinate a nearby meeting point for your convenience.
Pickup times may vary depending on traffic conditions and operational logistics. Final schedules will be confirmed through our official communication channels before your tour.
The weather at Machu Picchu can change quickly throughout the day, with sunshine, rain, and fog possible at any time. We recommend bringing a rain poncho or waterproof jacket, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable clothing, and water for the journey.
