Detailed Itinerary of the Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca Tour

  • Day 1: Arrival in Lima

According to your arrival time we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel so you can rest for the day.

  • Day 2: Lima - Visit Arequipa

The next day, we went to the city of Arequipa and make a city tour of the historic white city. Arequipa is a city that is surrounded by three volcanoes (The Chachani, Pichu Pichu and Misti), likewise the construction of its buildings are made of a material very typical of the place, the "sillar"; material of volcanic origin.

  • Day 3: Arequipa - Chivay

To go to the town of Chivay we will leave very early, our mobility will pick you up at your hotel and start our adventure. The town of Chivay belongs to the province of Caylloma in Arequipa, is located in the highest part of the Colca Canyon, this is one of the most visited attractions after Machu Picchu.

The origin of its name "Chivay" derives from the Quechua word that means "Chuay" and means mud plate and makes sense just by the shape of hollow, we will also appreciate a variety of migratory birds and camelids (vicuña) and flamingos.

  • At the end of the trip, we will stop to see the viewpoint of the volcanoes, the highest point of the tour in which you will appreciate the great Western Cordillera of the Andes and we arrive to Chivay. After the tour we will return to your hotel and if you want you can visit the hot springs of "La Calera" (this view is optional).
  • Day 4: Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Puno

This day we start our guided tour very early in the morning to go to the viewpoint of the Condor Cross, usually here you can see the largest condors, where you can appreciate the sunrise, the landscape and their habits.

On the way back we pass through the places of Yanque, Coporaque and Achomas, places that still preserve their customs, typical costumes, then we stop in the village of Maca to visit its streets, temples, etc.. Finished the visit, we will go to Puno and we will leave you in your hotel.

  • Day 5: Puno - Uros Islands - Taquile Island - Puno

One in Puno, we will visit the islands by boat, in this case we start visiting the floating island of the Uros for its famous construction and people inhabit it, the entire infrastructure of the Uros is based on the totora, aquatic plant of Lake Titicaca as well as its means of transport are made of totora.

  • Day 6: Puno - Cusco

We arrive in Cusco and take you to your hotel where you can rest.

  • Day 7: Cusco - Visit of the city and 4 ruins

You will have the morning free so you can rest after a long trip, and in the afternoon we will make a city tour of the city and the most representative archaeological sites of the city, you will visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qoricancha, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and Qenqo, sites with a lot of history and incredible architectural constructions.

  • Day 8: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

On this day we will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a very important site of the Inca period. The places you will see on this guided tour are Pisaq, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo.

Pisaq: It is like the gateway to the Sacred Valley, here we will know the craft market and archaeological remains found in the upper part of the city, in addition to its fertile land and location. Very famous for its tranquility and ideal for spiritual tourism.

Urubamba: It is one of the best destinations in terms of agriculture, as here come the best corn crops, being recognized as "world capital of corn" was also appreciated by the Incas for its good fertility of their land, like Pisaq is ideal for spiritual tourism.

Ollantaytambo: Valuable archaeological site in Inca times, its ruins represent the construction of temples, defense walls, the place served as an administration control, besides being considered one of the most important archaeological sites in Peru and South America.

  • Day 9: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

After the visit we return to Aguas Calientes and return by train to Poroy - Cusco, then transfer to your hotel.

Day 10: Cusco - Return flight

This last day there are no more tours, depending on the time of your flight we will transfer you to the airport to Lima, then return to your international flight to your destination.
