This trek combines the cultural and natural attractions of this mountainous region. It is an immersion in another time, that of the Incas, and in another place, that of the great biodiversity of the tropical depths.

We will leave Cusco at 5:30 am and we will take the direction of Marcoccasa (3400m/11154f), after the village of Mollepata (3000 m/9843f). In Marcoccasa we will meet the muleteers and the rest of the group before starting the trek. We will start the circuit in a beautiful valley, surrounded by mountains like Humantay (5217m/17116f) and Salkantay (6264m/20551f). Our camping site will be in Soraypampa (3700m/12139f).
After breakfast, we will go to the Salkantay pass (4600m/15092f) which offers a magnificent view of the Salkantay. Then we will descend and have time to enjoy the vegetation. Our camping site will be at Rayampata (3000m, in the rain forest.
The third day will be devoted to the flora of the region. It is a spectacular descent that we will undertake through the forest still misty and where grows a luxuriant vegetation. This is an opportunity to identify some species of Orquidae, Bromeliads or Bomareas. We will visit some local families in Wiñaypoco (2650m) and in La Playa (2100m), where we will camp.
This morning we will follow the circuit to the archaeological site of Llactapata (2650m/8694f). From here we will have a magnificent view of the Machu Picchu mountain. Then, we will continue to the hydroelectric station (1950m/6398f). Here we will take the train to the city of Aguas Calientes (2050m/6726f), where we will spend the night.
We will leave our hotel at 5:30 am and will leave towards Machu Picchu (2400m/7874f) by tourist bus. We will arrive at the Inca city at 06h00. After a two hour guided tour with explanations of the history and culture of the Incas, you will have free time to explore the site and Huaynu Picchu (2750m/9022f). We will leave Aguas Calientes by train at 2:55pm or 6:45pm. Until the departure of the train, you will have free time to relax or visit the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes.
