1. Textile demonstration

Understanding the history of each community is essential to truly grasp its knowledge. In this new adventure, we will dive into the heart of textile tradition with Isabel and Wilbert at their house. We start with the process: from shearing the wool to washing it with an ancestral detergent, followed by spinning it on a traditional spindle.

Next is dyeing, an art in itself, using natural ingredients like purple corn and cochineal to create a vibrant color palette. Finally, you will see how the wool transforms into fiber ready for weaving, an authentic experience that bridges the past with the present. Want to be part of this beautiful experience? Write to us and make a reservation.

2. Tasting chincherina cuisine

At midday, Isabel and Wilbert transform the kitchen into a celebration of ancestral flavors with Pachamanca, a dish that honors the earth. We will prepare a stone oven, carefully preheated for several hours, ready to welcome a delicious mix of fresh, natural ingredients.

We will include potatoes, beans, oca, sweet potatoes, and meats such as guinea pig, trout, lamb, and pork. Each ingredient is prepared with care. Once the food is in the oven, it is covered with blankets to concentrate the heat, cooking slowly in a dance of flavors and aromas. After two hours, the big moment arrives: the blankets are removed to reveal a Pachamanca feast, ready to be enjoyed. Join us for this experience and savor the authentic taste of the Andes. The table is set!

3. An evening of connection at casa qantu wasi

As night falls at Casa Qantu Wasi, Isabel and Wilbert invite you to a magical evening around a large bonfire. Here, the community and visitors gather to share ancestral stories, legends, and experiences, creating a deep and warm connection. The bonfire not only lights the surroundings but also ignites stories that unite cultures.

After this enriching experience, you will retire to sleep in cozy adobe rooms, built with unbaked earth bricks. These spaces, warm and comfortable, offer a perfect refuge to recharge after a day full of adventures. Reserve your place to experience this unforgettable moment!
