We will depart from Cusco in our private transportation to Soraypampa. During the journey, we will enjoy beautiful views of the Salkantay, Umantay, and Pallata snow-capped peaks. We will arrive in the village of Mollepata for breakfast before continuing on to Soraypampa. Here, we will meet the muleteers and start our trek through a beautiful valley surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks, such as Nevado Humantay (5217 m) and the imposing Salkantay Peak.
We will cross various valleys, discovering a bit about the life of the local farmers, before reaching Humantay Lagoon, which features stunning turquoise waters. At the end of the lagoon stands the impressive Humantay Mountain. After lunch, taking photos, and resting, we will descend to our first campsite in Soraypampa. Our cook will be waiting with hot drinks and dinner. The first night will be slightly more challenging due to the altitude.
