Puno is characterized by having the most beautiful and visited islands of southern Peru, for example the Uros Island is one of the most impressive, as its islands are built by the same people, cultural value that is still alive.
This time we go to the Titinos Islands, like the Uros, the islands are built with an aquatic plant called "totora", an ancient tradition that is renewed every two months to keep the islands floating.
It could be said that the place is not as well known as the Uros, Taquile or Amantani, but when tourists visit this beautiful place they can better appreciate its attractions, traditions, customs and artisanal fishing.
The Titinos of Islands are located in Lake Titicaca, about 7 km northeast of the city of Puno.
