This natural observatory is located approximately 3,600 meters above sea level, where the main attraction is the flight of condors, you will also witness other birds of the area and an amazing view in depth of the Colca Canyon. The Tapay Condor Viewpoint is a place to encounter nature and the king of the Andean skies.
The condor is a highly respected animal in southern Peru, because since ancient times its presence was even imposed in the mythology of the pre-Inca and Inca culture. In the latter, before colonization, this being was appreciated as a species of great traditional and immortal value, for being considered as protector of the "Hanan Pacha" which in Spanish means "The land of the sky and the future".
The access schedule to the viewpoint is free, where you can stay all day long, however, it is advisable not to go too late because it is better to arrive at the viewpoint during the morning, so you can have more opportunity to see the aerial displacement of the condor.
The Tapay Viewpoint is located in the Cabanaconde district, 46 km from the province of Caylloma and belongs to the Arequipa region.
