The World Travel Market London 2024 brings together over 4,000 exhibitors from 184 countries, and Tierras de los Andes, alongside other Peruvian companies, is participating to showcase its range of tour packages and its commitment to rural and sustainable tourism in Peru. This event started on November 5 and promises to be the largest to date.

Jonathan Heastie, WTM Portfolio Director, commented during the event's Global Welcome: “It’s a remarkable turnout, and I believe it will be an extraordinary gathering for the World Travel Market. Last year, around this time, travel deals worth £2.2 million were closed at these halls. This year, you’ll hear from over 200 world-class speakers in 70 insightful sessions.”

Within this framework of international collaboration, Tierras de los Andes, a Peruvian tourism agency, is present at the Peru stand, showcasing a diverse offering of tourism experiences in Peru, particularly promoting Rural Tourism in the southern region of Peru, such as astrotourism, immersive tours in Andean communities, and more.

Our team is delighted to welcome visitors and potential partners in this space, sharing details of tours that combine the cultural, historical, and natural richness of our country. From tours of Cusco's historic center to adventures in the Amazon rainforest and visits to local communities, each experience is designed to deeply connect travelers with the soul of Peru.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the upcoming release of the movie Paddington in Peru is scheduled for January 1, 2025. This international production was filmed in iconic locations in Lima and Cusco, such as Lima's Historic Center, Plaza Mayor, the Miraflores Malecon, and, of course, the Machu Picchu National Archaeological Park and Huayna Picchu Mountain.

The film promises to showcase the beauty and diversity of Peruvian landscapes and traditions to the world, and we are excited to see how this story will inspire more travelers to discover these unique destinations.
