Cusco Archaeological Capital of America Tour

The toponym of the city was the Quechua Qosqo, which means center, navel, belt. According to Inca mythology, here converge the world below (Uku Pasha), the visible world (Kay Pasha) and the world above (Hanan Pasha). Thus, the city was and is called the navel of the world, in reference to the universe. Cuzco, a region with the most beautiful landscapes on the planet, crowned by six mountains over 6,000 meters high, is the oldest city in the western hemisphere and the cradle of the Inca civilization. It is known throughout the world for the marvelous archaeological remains that have been discovered, such as the citadel of Machupicchu.
