Inti Punku in Ollantaytambo

The Inti Punku is a unique destination in the district of Ollantaytambo, being a portal built of stone that is located in the upper part of the place and that according to several theories could have served as a checkpoint on the way to Machu Picchu.

Routes to Inti Punku

Route 1: Cusco- Ollantaytambo- Inti Punku

Choosing this route, we leave Cusco to reach the district of Ollantaytambo and then we take a 4-hour trek approximately in the direction of Inti Punku.

Route 2: Cusco- Ollantaytambo- Kachi Qhata- Inti Punku

We leave from Cusco and upon arriving in Ollantaytambo, we are transported in a vehicle to Kachi Qhata (nearby community) and from there we start trekking for about 3 hours to reach Inti Punku.
