Heritage of great importance, the Naval Museum of Puno keeps valuable documents such as: the account of documents of maritime history, the beginning of Lake Titicaca from the Inca, colonial, independence, contemporary to the present.

The museum was inaugurated on November 18 in the presence of political and military authorities, the purpose of the museum was to promote the development of awareness and national maritime culture, in addition to identifying people with the sea, rivers, and lakes activities that are performed.

As we had already mentioned, this keeps documents that show the maritime history, the history of the beginnings of Lake Titicaca from the Inca, colonial, independence, contemporary and present times.

Where is the Naval Museum of Puno located?

You can visit it at Av. El Sol 725 in Puno, visiting hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and from 14:30 pm to 17:00 hours.

What to see at the Naval Museum of Puno

Inside the museum you will find the following:

  • The steamship Yavari (1864), Huascar (1864), B.A.P Puno.
  • The only relic left of our admiral Miguel Grau.
