Ayacucho Wonders of Ayacucho 5 Day Tour

We will visit Plaza Mayor, Colonial Houses: Castilla and Zamora, Boza and Solis, Velarde Alvarez, Cathedral, Archaeological Museum Hipolito Unanue of the INC, Artisan Neighborhood of Santa Ana, to the workshops of weaving and stone carvings of Huamanga, Temple: Santa Teresa, Acuchimay tourist viewpoint. The Pikimachay Cave is located in the center of the Allqowilka hill and in southern Quechua it means "cave of the fleas". It is located 24 kilometers north of the city of Ayacucho, in the district of Pacaycasa, province of Huamanga, department of Ayacucho. It is approximately 60 meters long, 24 meters wide and 12 meters high. We will go to your hotel, then we will leave Ayacucho in the direction of the province of Huanta. First, we will visit the Pikimachay cave, where evidence was found that humans inhabited this area approximately 15 thousand years ago. Afterwards, we will continue our tour with the next stop, the colonial bridge of Ayahuarcuna, built with lime and stone in 1771. The archaeological complex of Vilcashuamán is located in Ayacucho, and it is one of the most important historical sites due to its antiquity. It is even known that it was an Inca city on whose certain vestiges, colonial constructions are built. We will meet at our meeting point to start this trip outside the city of Ayacucho. On the way, we will see the Puyas de Raimondi, native plants that grow in this type of high altitude climate. Later, we will arrive at the archaeological complex Pumaqocha, where there is also a lagoon with the same name. Later, we will arrive at the archaeological city of Vilcashuamán, where there is a temple of the sun and the moon, the square in commemoration of the Inca Pachacutec and Ushno, an Inca pyramid used as a ceremonial place. After touring, taking pictures and resting a little in the authorized places, we will take our vehicle back to Ayacucho, where our activity ends.

Colpa is a town in the district of Acosvinchos, is located 30.9 km north of the city of Ayacucho.
